Who we work with, and how
The organizations helping us shape DNA storage in the real world, shown here as technology references and pilot engagements: valued collaborators today, not customers or revenue.
Organizations across government, defense, and industry are exploring what DNA Storage can do in their own environment, an early signal of where sovereign data protection matters most
SICPA
Project
Exploration of DNA for an anti-counterfeiting use case (tagging barcodes encoded in DNA on protected items)
Benefits
Assessed the feasibility and relevance of the tagging solution (leading to the strategic decision to focus on storage); joint patent filing with SICPA.
CNES
Project
Evaluation of the resistance of written and stored DNA to gamma radiation, with the goal of assessing the solution's potential for a Space use case
Benefits
Funding of dedicated stress tests; entry point to Thales, a global electronics leader.
Bordeaux Metropole
Project
Evaluation of the resistance of written and stored DNA to gamma radiation, with the goal of assessing the solution's potential for a Space use case
Benefits
Funding of dedicated stress tests; entry point to Thales, a global electronics leader.
French Ministry of the Armed Forces
(Future Combat Command & Defence Digital Directorate)
Project
Evaluation of Biomemory's DNA writing, storage, and reading technology in an operational context
Benefits
Potential entry point to become an official supplier to the Armed Forces; evaluation of specific field use cases.
Technology partners
Scality is our first software platform partner. A global leader in data infrastructure software for AI-era storage at scale, Scality builds software-defined S3 object storage designed to span and optimize across multiple storage media, which is precisely the control plane DNA archives need to reach production.
Under the strategic partnership announced in June 2026, which also brought Scality CEO Jerome Lecat onto Biomemory's board of directors, the two companies are jointly developing a roadmap to integrate Biomemory DNA storage as a new, ultra-secure cold archive tier within Scality-managed environments, including Scality ADI.
For Biomemory this is both a technology partnership and a sales channel: Scality carries DNA archives into the enterprise, government and service provider accounts it already serves, alongside our own direct sales.
Investors
Backed by BPI France, Credit Mutuel, and Blast.
Institutional partnerships
Biomemory’s origin and support: CNRS, Sorbonne University, Agoranov, i-Lab, ADEME, i-Demo and France 2030.
Standards bodies
Biomemory is a leader in commercial DNA data storage and is a member of the DNA Data Storage Alliance, a SNIA Community. Biomemory's representative Vincent Franceschini is the current co-chair of the DDSA, and Chairman Emeritus of SNIA.
